Stella Jacobs, General Manager of Holiday Inn Chiangmai, welcomed K. John Rattanaveroj and his family for their stay at Holiday Inn Chiangmai while he was in Chiang Mai filming his TV show “Lighthouse Family” on June 14, 2013.


On Wednesday the 19th of June, 2013 Mr. Tjeer Kwant, CEO of ECC Real Estate International and developer of the Promenada Shopping and Resort Mall Chiang Mai hosted an information exchange meeting with representatives of the Thai German International Friendship Organization (Samma Kom Phuenthai German International) and the Podology Center Bangkok - Chiang Mai - Dr. Dirk Weeber and Mor Wuttipong Arayatumsopon at the Coffee Bee in the Promenada. Also pictured is Mr. Kwant’s assistant Khun Ann.


The Indian Community in Chiang Mai held its 4th annual Bowling Tournament on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Bully Bowl, organized by Chomrom Chao India Cnx. Teams competed for prizes including a return Thai Airways ticket, cash and trophies. Dinner and drinks were served to the bowlers and their cheering squads. The Pub held their annual Yorkshire Pudding eating contest on Friday, June 21, 2013. This is The Pub’s 10th annual event and it was a tie with Jimbo and Chris sharing the trophy for eating 48 Yorkshire Puddings each. Contestants ranged in ages with one little boy giving it a valiant try, albeit with jam instead of gravy and a few women joining in as well. Here Barbara Quinn of The Pub is seen with the contestants and winners at the conclusion of the contest.


Joanna MacLean gave a talk on Elephant Parade and the Asian Elephant Foundation at the Expat Club meeting held at Le Meridien Hotel on Saturday, June 22, 2013. She spoke to a nearly full house about the work of the Elephant Parade House and the Asian Elephant Foundation and also showed a brief video on two landmine victims who have received prosthetic legs through their works.

The Alps Condominium held a Thank You party for their customers and the CEO Mathew Lin (5th right) introduced a project. Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Adisorn Kamnerdsiri (Middle) and VIP guests joined the party.


The Centara Duangtawan Hotel Chiang Mai celebrated their 9th anniversary recently and Boonchai Suwatsakulsawasd, General Manager and the Management Team and staff of Centara Dunagtawan Hotel, Chiang Mai made a merit with a traditional Buddhist ceremony held at the Chiang Roong Room. The Human Resources Department and staff donated blood to the Chiang Mai Red Cross as a part of the project “To Do Goodness for His Majesty the King”, organized by the Blood Bank and the Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital.
