Nok Air connects
Mae Sot with Myanmar
Nok Air, the truly Thai airline that flies smiles, now connects Mae Sot with
two large cities in Myanmar, Yangon and Mawlamyine. Daily flight from Mae
Sot to Mawlamyine will be operated from 1 September 2013 onwards and daily
flight from Mae Sot to Yangon will be operated from 1 October 2013 onwards.
These flights will be served bySAAB 340B capacity up to 34 seats chartered
from Siam General Aviation Co., Ltd. (Nok Mini).
Flights to Mawlamyine leave Mae Sot daily at 9:45 a.m. and return daily at
10:05 a.m. while daily flights from Mae Sot to Yangon leave at 11:35 a.m.
and return at 12:30 p.m.

com at Nok Air’s Call Center at 1318 or at Nok Air Ticket booth at Airports.
Promotion price starts from THB 1,590 net per flight (all inclusive,

The TAT Chiang Mai celebrated their 4th anniversary of 3 Zoos and 1 Park 999
Baht package that saw the Chiang Mai Zoo, the Chiang Mai Zoo Aquarium, Chiang
Mai Night Safari and the Royal Park Ratchapruek offer special deals for
visitors. The new package of stay 1 night and tour 1 day began on June 15 and
runs through September 15, 2013.
Members of the public who took advantage of the old package will be entered into
a competition for air tickets, an i-Phone 5 and other items can find out if they
win on September 30, 2013 by going to the TATChiangmai Facebook page.
Wisoot Buachoom, head of the TAT Chiang Mai office noted that two packages are
available at the Thailand Tourism Festival at Impact Exhibition Center on June 5
– 9 and at the Region 5 Thai Travel Festival which will be held in July from 12
– 14 as well as at all TAT offices, Suvarnabhumi Airport and on social media to
motivate Thai families to travel in Thailand during the rainy season.

TAT Announces “The Magic & Mystery Of Amazing Thailand” Photo Contest
TAT announces the second TATNews Photo Contest, now being held through its
official media website TATNews.org. All photographers, tourists, travelers,
media, and anyone with a camera are cordially invited to participate. The theme
of this new contest is “The Magic & Mystery of Amazing Thailand.”
The aim of the contest is for you to show the world what Amazing Thailand looks
like to you - through the lens of your camera - and to share your incredible
Thailand experiences with like-minded souls everywhere. Plus, you get the chance
to win cash awards totaling USD2000 as well as having your images of Amazing
Thailand shared globally by the TAT.
Contestants need simply register an account on www.tatnews.org and submit
entries according to the rules stated on the website. The submission period is
now open and will close on 2 August 2013; so get your pictures organized and
select your favorite shots. You won’t have to choose only one to submit however
since you can enter as many images as you like, along with a caption in English
for each photograph.
Three winners will be chosen. The 1st Place Winner will receive a cash prize of
THB 30,000 (approximately $1,000 US), the First Runner-Up will receive THB
20,000 while the Second Runner-Up will receive THB 10,000 plus a Photo Contest
Certificate for each.
Submissions will be judged by a team consisting of Thai media experts, editors,
and photographers. The winners will be announced on TATNews. org on 7 August
2013, and the three lucky winners will also be notified via email the next day,
8 August 2013.
So look through your Thailand photographs now, or better yet, grab your camera
and head to your favorite Thailand destinations to do some serious shooting. We
want your original photographs that are exciting and inspirational, that tell a
story or share an experience - in short, images that will motivate viewers to
visit this spot and turn their own cameras to this and similar subjects.
