AIS held workshop for Northern students

Advanced Information Services PCL (AIS) held a workshop for graduating students to help them apply for jobs and to open new opportunities once they finish school. This is the 6th such workshop that AIS has held and one of the key features for students is practice job interviews, a hurdle many young graduates are concerned about.
AIS held workshops in 9 provinces around Thailand; Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Petchburi, Nakhon Pathom, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Surat Thani and Songkhla.
Jirasak Tangsajjawong, (AIS) Upper Northern Marketing Manager said that AIS held the event to guide students to step into a vibrant working age, noting that the AEC will require that Thais become more competitive employees. AIS held the event help students gain experience and confidence outside of the classroom to apply a job in future by get tips and advice from experts of recruitment departments including how to answer questions in an interview, how to make a great first impression and other topics to succeed in the competitive jobs market.


Rotary Youth Exchange student will study in the U.S.

PP. Pinyo Duangcham along with members of The Rotary Club of Chiang Mai Airport presented a flower bouquet to congratulate Thortawan Thannormthin, Rotary Youth Exchange Student 2013-14, Rotary Club of Chiang Mai Airport D 3360 Thailand in his acceptance as a Rotary sponsored exchange student to the United States at Suan Dok Kaew Hotel, Chiang Mai.


Pilot ASEAN Study Center at Ban Mae Chan School

A pilot ASEAN Study Center was opened at Ban Mae Chan School in Mae Chan District in Chiang Rai on August 7, 2013 by the Quality Learning Foundation (QLF) in cooperation with the Romchatra Foundation, Ban Mae Chan School and the Chiang Rai Public Relations Office.
The concept of the “House, Temple, School” model sets the mode for regional preparation for the ASEAN Economic Community. Phra Tham Pawanawikrom President of the Romchatra Foundation at Wat Traimit Wittayaram, Wassana Lertsil, manager of the “Expansion of the Pilot Community and Preparing to Communicate in AEC” project, Jatuporn Chanasri, District Chief Officer, government officials, students and parents attended the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Study Center which will offer study on landscaping media and language training.


Provincial National Science Week at CMU

The Faculty of Science at CMU filled with interested students during National Science Week.

The Faculty of Science at Chiang Mai University hosted the Provincial National Science Week in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Science Society under the royal patronage of HM the King and other governmental and private groups.
Deputy Governor Ritthipong Techapun presided over the opening ceremony for the event under the concept “AEC S&T Update”. The father of Thai Science, King Rama IV promoted research and science to benefit at the local and national level and the fair was held to honor talent in science and technology. Many students visited the fair which was held at the Faculty of Science between August 16 – 18, 2013 and saw not only academic works on display but a scientific competition, National Innovation Awards Competition, and various booths of both government and private sectors.
