Some of the riders taking part in a 42 day ride from Singapore to Kazakhstan dropped by Chiang Mai’s Rider’s Corner owned by Phil and Somthawin Gibbins on August 18, 2013. The riders began in Singapore, traveled through Malaysia and Thailand then on to Laos, China north to Shangri-La, NE to Chengdu, into Tibet & Nepal to the Kazakhstan border. Plub Pla restaurant at Khum Khantoke hosted Governor Tanin Subhasaen’s party for the delegates to the Lanna Health Fair 2013 on August 8, 2013. The Lanna Health Fair was held at the Royal Park Ratchaphruek from August 9 – 15, 2013 and saw delegates from around South East Asia attend. At the party awards were handed out to winners in Spa, Massage and Traditional medicine fields among others. Local Chiang Mai families enjoyed Mother’s Day at the Gold Leaf Restaurant at the Imperial Mae Ping Hotel on Monday, August 12, 2013. The restaurant saw many families bringing both mother and grandmother for a classic Chinese lunch on Mother’s Day.
