Mr. Akihiko Fujii, Consul General of Japan Consulate General in Chiang Mai was the guest of honor to open ‘RarinJinda Onsen Grand Opening Celebration’. He was welcomed by RarinJinda Wellness Spa Resort Management; Narun Wiwattanakrai (Chief Marketing Officer) who then offered a short presentation of RarinJinda Wellness Spa Resort and introduced the newest facility of RarinJinda Wellness Spa, the first semi-outdoor Onsen in Chiang Mai, which comprises a Mineral Hot Springs Pool with concentrate from Japan’s Gero Hot Springs in Takayama Region, recognized as one of top 3 Onsen in Japan with the nickname ‘Beauty Hot Spring’.


The Dhara Dhevi Resort recently held a welcome dinner for photographer Ren้ Burri whose works are on display at the hotel until April 15, 2014. Chao Duangduan na Chiang Mai is seen here with the photographer at the dinner that was attended by the British Honorary Consul Ben Svasti Thomson, Ajarn Vithi Phanichphant and other Chiang Mai notables. Newly chartered Rotary International Club of Chiang Mai welcomed members of the Gate Theater Group who performed pieces from their upcoming “The Spoken Word, Readers’ Theatre” at their meeting at the River Market on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. The next Readers’ Theatre will be held at March 27 at Food-4-Thought from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. The evening’s program will be an interactive experience where the audience becomes part of the performance. TJ Bouma, Secretary of the Chiang Mai International Rotary Club (right) hands over the club’s banner in the first banner exchange since the club was chartered in February. The receiving club is the Rotary Club of Aalsmeer-Mijdreecht-Uithoorn in the Netherlands. The Dutch Club has been involved in several Rotary projects in Thailand as a matching grant club. The banner was accepted by Rotarian Hendrik-Jan van den Berge (left). Hendrik-Jan is a frequent visitor of Chiang Mai and the club members look forward to seeing him again at the Club meetings at River Market every Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Interested parties can email [email protected] for information.

General Manager Jerome Sim of Khum Phaya Resort and Spa, Centara Boutique Collection had the opportunity to meet and greet the well-known superstar Diva singer of Thailand recently, Khun Nadda Viyakarn (right). Mr. Jerome Sim greeted the singer with the traditional flower garland at the resort recently.


Deputy Head of Mission for the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Bangkok Paul Bute recently paid a visit to Chiang Mai and paid a courtesy call on Chiang Mai Mayor Tussanai Buranupakorn on March 3, 2014 at the Municipal Building. He met with the Mayor and British Honorary consul Ben Svasti Thomson to discuss various issues relating to development in Chiang Mai and Thailand.
