Chiang Mai International Rotary Club welcomed Haley Anderson, new General Manager of Care for Dogs, the local dog rescue and sterilization organization at their meeting at River Market recently. She spoke to members on the work the organization does, the importance of sterilization and treatment for dogs and the work they are doing with other animal welfare organizations around the country to enact animal cruelty laws. She also urged members to attend the upcoming Care for Dogs Yappy Hour Fundraising Benefit to be held at the River Market on November 16 at 5:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online only at http://www.carefordogs.org/yappy-hour-tickets/.


Donjai Srivichainanda of Maerim Ceramic Studio (back row, left) held her birthday party at Sangdee Gallery on September 24, 2014. Pi Mao, as she is more popularly known, celebrated her day with an eclectic mix of friends and family who came to wish her a very happy birthday.

Chiang Mai Governor Suriya Prasatbuntitya joined Dr. Sarawut Srisakun, Director of the Pinkanakorn Development Agency as he won the auction of ta painting made by Chiang Mai Night Safari resident elephant Linda at the International Convention Center. Titled “Golden Shower Tree” the painting was donated by Dr. Sarawut on behalf of the Night Safari to the Lanna Expo to raise funds for elephants.


The Chiang Mai DJ Radio TV Association held a bowling tournament at Bully Bowl on the 4th floor of Kad Suan Kaew on September 20, 2014. The tournament was held to strengthen ties between public and private media organizations with the trophy donated by M.L. Panadda Diskul, Permanent Secretary and Minister for the Prime Minister’s Office. Chiang Mai Governor Suriya Prasatbuntitya presided over the opening ceremony of the tournament.
