Chiang Mai International Rotary Club members had the opportunity to inspect the surgical instruments that were purchased by the Chiang Mai Expats Club and our club for donation to the Mae Tao Clinic in Mae Sot at their club meeting on August 26, 2014 at the River Market. Joining them are visitors Pat from the Chiang Mai Expats club and Stephen who is the Asia Director for the One World Futbol Project.


Chao Duangduan na Chiang Mai joined the ice bucket challenge with her son Bhaginai na Chiang Mai and Alezandra Russell of Urban Light at the Star Palace Condo, Changphung Chiang Mai on August 27, 2014. They were joined by Natthaphimon Chuendoung who also took part in the challenge.


Holiday Inn Chiang Mai arranged the IHG Green Week activity as a representative of the IHG hotel chain in Chiang Mai city. The Green Week was held the week of August 24 and saw many different activities to contribute to the preservation of the environment. The Holiday Inn Chiang Mai has developed itself to be an environmentally friendly hotel and a leader in Chiang Mai. General Manager Stella Jacob (center) is joined by friends and staff in the IHG Green Week activities.


The Centara Mae Sot Hill Resort’s General Manager Pattavee Pongnonthakul (3rd right), welcomed Alongkorn Ponlaboot (3rd left), deputy leader of the Democrat Party on his arrival to stay to the resort recently.


Well-known and popular local musician Dang Fantastic held a mini-concert for patients at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital. He also donated medical equipment worth 25,000 baht with the support of Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Co., Ltd. (BAM). Associate Professor Dr. Wattana Navacharoen, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Chiang Mai University joined Dang Fantastic and executives from Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Co., Ltd. at the Faculty of Medicine Chiang Mai University on August 19, 2014.


Mae Hong Son Governor Surapon Panasampon presided over the press conference of “Japan – Thailand Cultural Relationship at Khun Yuam District” at G Floor, Central Plaza Chiang Mai Airport on August 25, 2014. He was welcomed by Khun Yuam Mayor Winai Jeenabut; Montree Piyakul, the Director of Chiang Mai Provincial Office of Tourism & Sports; Bamrung Sangkhaw, Chief of Strategy for Province Development Group of Mae Hong Son; and Sittichai Unhaka, Head of the Department of Building and Security Central Plaza Airport.


AEON Thana Sinsap Public Co. Ltd. held an AEON Thanks Day 2014 event at Central Plaza Chiang Mai Airport on August 26, 2014 where Saranya Pipoppinyo, Vice President of HP & Loan Section, Marketing Development Department of AEON Thana Sinsap presided over the event with WeerachoteThirawayamakul, Branch Marketing Manager of Central Plaza and a mini-concert by popstar Por- Nim AF.


Associate Professor Dr. Wattana Navacharoen, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Chiang Mai University, joined Pravit Chitnarapong President & CEO of Black Canyon Co., Ltd in holding a Thai style ice bucket challenge on August 25, 2014 at the Black Canyon Coffee shop on August 25, 2014. The Dean poured ice water with jasmine and salung over the head of the K. Pravit who then donated 100,000 baht to the Suan Dok Care for the Elderly project.
