Former Miss Thailand joins DIAA Clinic Anniversary
Areeya “Pop” Sirisopa” Miss Thailand 1994 joined Dr. Danai Praditsuwan
at the opening ceremony of the anniversary of the DIAA Clinic By
Dr.Danai on Nimmanheimin Soi 3. The Clinic offers full aesthetics
services including Spider Wed Technique and Hybrid Lift Technique. Dr.
Danai is on the Board of Committee of Menarine (Italy) for Happy Life
Trend Lift at Milan, Italy and is a new generation of aesthetic doctors
in Chiang Mai.
Bollywood raises funds for a school water filtration project at the Holiday Inn Chiang Mai
The hugely popular fundraising event held by Frank and Vanita at Fashion
King, Bollywood, was held at the Holiday Inn Chiang Mai on
Saturday January 21, 2017 with hundreds attending and winning raffle
prizes to fund a school water filtration project. The event was attended
by many of the local diplomats with guest of honor Indian Consul Shirish
Jain and his wife. Also attending was U.S. Consul General Jennifer
Harhigh and her husband, Chinese Consul General Ren Yisheng and his
wife, Deputy Governor Kris Thanavanich, Swiss Honorary Consul Marc
Dumur, Bangladesh Honorary Consul Rachan Veeraphan, Portugese Honorary
Consul Nuno Caldeira and Irish Representative Annette Kunigagon along
with host Stella Jacobs, General Manager of the Holiday Inn Chiang Mai.
Skål Chiang Mai raises funds for Mae Mha Orphanage at annual fundraiser gala
Skal Chiang Mai held their annual fundraiser gala dinner at Le
Meridien Chiang Mai on Thursday, January 26, 2017 where the group
raised over 200,000 from silent and live auctions donated by local and
regional businesses. Le Meridien General Manager Greg Anderson (far
left) was the consummate host, purchasing his share of raffle tickets as

Famed Australian winery Wolf Blass hosts Masterclass with winemaker Stuart Rusted
Famed Australian winery Wolf Blass hosted the 2017 Wolf Blass
Masterclass at the Shangri- La Hotel Chiang Mai on January 23,
2017. The event saw members of F&B staff and management from leading
hotels and restaurants to learn more about Wolf Blass wines. The class
was given by Stuart Rusted who talked more about the establishment of
the business in 1966 by namesake Wolf Blass in the famed Barossa Valley
outside of Adelaide in Australia. He discussed the various wines
produced by Wolf Blass and entered into a lively discussion on the use
of screw caps as opposed to cork, telling the class that cork will cause
spoilage more often than screw cap lids and that the wine will last
longer than with cork. He also announced the company’s sponsorship of
Manchester City Football Club. The event was quite interesting and the
gathered crowd gathered for a group shot with Stuart Rusted, staff from
Vivaldi PR and Bangkok Beer & Beverages.
Four Seasons Chiang Mai holds Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony
Michael Brannan, General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai
and Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle presided over the
Christmas Tree Lighting 2016 where he was joined by Chiang Mai Governor
Pawin Chamniprasart as chairperson of the ceremony along with
Germany Honorary Consul Hagen E.W. Dirksen and his wife Wanphen
Sakdatorn, Kate and Liz Setthakorn or ITM Massage and others. The
Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai’s Christmas Tree was designed and
created by team of over 50 people to be in harmony with resort’s
atmosphere as much as possible. This Christmas Tree
is on bamboo raft in the middle of resort’s pond and is 13 meters
high and is made of Globe Fringe Rush planted in 15,000 nursery bags
placed on the bamboo structure decorated with blinking lamps. It will be
on display until Friday, January 6, 2017.
New Japan Village Project opens on Nimmanhaemin Soi 15
Koji Korata, Managing Director of Across Thailand Co.,Ltd., and
Executive of Japan Village was joined by movie star Pattay-Angsumarin,
Rick Wong and other guests at the opening of the new Japan Village on
Nimmanhaemin Soi 15 on December 21, 2016. The new shopping area offers
food, beauty products and bars featuring Japanese food and products.
Membership will be open until December 31 for the two story location
that has famous Japanese products and services along with well-known
Japanese restaurants and the V-Bar, an open air lounge, with a food
court and signature cocktails by world-famous mixologist, Shuno Nagumo.
IORA Drinking Water launches at Mo’c Mo’l restaurant
Iora Drinking water was launched by Jakrawut Pratoom,
Managing Director and N Napapat Klankhachon, owner of House No.9 herbal
water at the Mo’c Mo’l Restaurant on December 20, 2016. Jakrawut said that
the company was founded in August of 2016 to provide quality drinking water
with no contaminants using the reverse osmosis process. The company is
offering drinking water in three sizes; 350-ml small bottle, 600-ml medium
bottle, and 1.5-liter big bottle, and have been delivered to convenience
stores in Chiang Mai and Lamphun since December 1, 2016.
Shangri-La Chiang Mai Hotel lights Christmas tree in lobby
The Shangri-La Chiang Mai Hotel team, led by
Mr. Franz Richter, General Manager, held the “Christmas Tree Lighting
Ceremony” on December 14, 2016 in the hotel’s lobby and invited twenty
children from Wiang Ping Children’s Home in Mae Rim, Chiang Mai to
receive gifts and enjoy dinner. Guests were given cards to sign and hang
on the tree and invited to donate funds to the Wiang Ping Children’s
Home and Elephant Hospital. Elephant Parade brought small elephants for
children and guests to paint, 20% of total sales through January 15,
2017 will go to the Elephant hospital.
