This weekend the celebrations begin to say goodbye to the year of the Dog and welcome in 2007, the year of the Pig (which actually begins on February 18, 2007) culminating in grand fireworks displays all over Chiangmai on New Year’s Eve. Most venues around town will be putting on events so that you may celebrate to the fullest. The entire Chiangmai Mail family wishes you and your family a safe, happy, prosperous and healthy New Year. May the fortitude and great honesty of the Pig be with you.
The Committee for the Winter Festival and Red Cross Festival in 2007 gave a
press conference concerning the winter festival and the Miss Chiang Mai
contest. Chiang Mai Governor Wichai Srikwan will be the president of the
festival. |
