I don’t usually head too far out of town but a trip to the Chiang Mai Mail offices and the whispers of a little place out at Meechoke Plaza serving fish & chips compelled me to drop in at Kelly’s Bistro at Meechoke Plaza. Don’t let the exterior fool you into thinking that you will get strip mall quality food, the food was excellent, generous and tasty.

Prince Royal’s College celebrates 105 years of Royal naming

On January 2, 2011, The Prince Royal’s College celebrated 105 years of its naming by His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Vajiravudh (King Rama VI) in 1906. As part of this celebration, descendents of the early missionaries who helped to establish the first mission in the North of Thailand visited Chiang Mai for a celebration at the school.

Oasis Spa Thanks Its Staff with ‘Style’. Pakin Ployphicha and Toby Allen, CEOs of Oasis Spa, hosted a staff party at the Furama Hotel. The theme of this year’s staff party was a fashion show. Each person had the opportunity to be a ‘runway model’ and greet the New Year with cheer and optimism. Oasis Fashion Week 2011 was Oasis Spas’ way of expressing their appreciation to their employees for their hard work during the past year.
