
Chiang Mai Governor ML Panadda Disakul representing Her Majesty the
Queen graciously presented blankets to elderly people at the Home
for the Aged at a presentation ceremony held in Mae Taeng
district, Chiang Mai recently.

Deputy Chiang Mai Governor Chuchart Keelapaeng, center, received a
donation of 22,000 baht from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wirat Pattanaporn,
left, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boonlue Puakpong , right, of the Lanna
Toastmasters Club of Chiang Mai and its members, to help tsunami
and earthquake survivors in Japan. The donation ceremony was held at
City Hall on March 22.

Kritkamol Sirichokepaisarn, 2nd right, the President of Chiang
Mai Reporters' Association, and committee members presented the
shield of honor for best public administrator to Chuchart
Keelapaeng, Deputy Chiang Mai Governor, at the city hall, marking
the celebration party held for the Reporters’ Day on March 5 at
Sirinart Hotel, Chiang Mai.

Pakin Ployphicha and Toby Allen, the Managing Directors of Oasis
Spa (Thailand), were recently honored for their superior
performance in the use of information technology management with the
Thailand ICT Excellence Awards 2010. Dr. Virachai Virameteekul,
Minister of Science and Technology, presented awards to those
organizations that raised the standards for ICT management during
2010. Thailand Management Association co-organized with National
Electronics and Computer Technology Center, Software Park Thailand
and College of Innovation, Thammasat University single out Oasis Spa
for this coveted award. The Oasis Spa (Thailand) also won the ICT
Excellence Awards 2010 for implementing ICT in customer service
processing using their innovative Spa Management System™.. The
awards were made at the Plaza Athenee Hotel, Bangkok on March
23, 2011.
German Princess visits Chiang Mai

Princess Maja von Hohenzollern of Germany visits Thailand as
ambassador of the Thailandfreunde e.V. organization (Phuenthai
German International organization). She will present awards at the
annual charity Gala of Thailandfreunde e.V. organization, the 25th
of March in the Grand Ballroom of the Mercure Hotel Chiang Mai.
She will meet the Governor of the province of Chiang Mai, ML Panada
Diskhul, Dr. Chao Duandueng na Chiang Mai, the chancellor of the
cultural chamber of Chiang Mai, and MR Malinee Chakrabandhu, visit
the Mae Sa Elephant Camp, the Chiang Mai Night Safari and the
Northern School for the Blind and disabled children.

Mayor Tussanai Buranupakorn met with Princess
Maja von Hohenzollern at his offices at the Municipality on Tuesday,
March 22, 2011. With them are City Administrator Dr. Ken Santhitham
and Dirk Weeber-Arayatumsopon of the Podology Clinic and Pheuanthai.
The Princess is in town to visit her favorite charity organizations,
including the Northern School for the Blind and to attend the

Bai Sri So Kwan ceremony, held to bring good luck, fortunes and
happiness to all at the Center.
