Chiang Mai Mayor Tussanai Buranupakorn and municipal administrators attended the ceremony to pour holy water on the Phra Sitangkhamanee and Phra Sila Buddha images, marking the beginning of Songkran, the traditional Thai New year celebration this year at Wat Chiang Marn on April 1.


Orachorn Chantarawiwattana , 4th from left, Acting Director of Region 5, and General Manager of Central Plaza, Chiang Mai Airport Shopping Center, and executives of Central Pattana Chiang Mai Co., Ltd . presented a donation of 50,000 baht collected from firms and shops in the shopping center to Khruba Noi, Techapanyo, Wat Sridonmool, in Saraphi district, Chiang Mai. The donations will help go towards the construction of chedi / stupa, pavilion, and temple walls at the Wat Sridonmool.

The party was attended by many well known Chiang Mai faces including pianist Jonas Dept, Scott Taylor of Soho Bar, Jessica Loh of Payap University and many more.
