Cookie and Candy

Once upon a time, Cookie and Candy lived in a happy home with a loving owner who doted on them and treated them as his children. Then one sad day their owner passed away--and there the fairy tale ended. The owner's wife was not so fond of dogs and, unwilling to care for them anymore, brought them to the shelter. One look at their beautiful coats and gentle demeanors and the staff knew these girls were not street dogs; they had obviously been well-loved and cared for. But, having just lost their loving dad, Cookie and Candy were being forced to give up their home as well.

Ripped from everyone and everything they'd ever known, thrust into a strange place and surrounded by scores of unknown dogs, Candy and Cookie spent those first few days fearfully huddled together. It took some time, but gradually they managed to settle in. They now play with the other dogs and come running out to welcome visitors, almost always side by side. Sweet and gentle, Cookie and Candy love getting attention from volunteers and staff, but what they really need is to be part of a family again. If anyone has it in their hearts to give these two beautiful girls the fairytale ending they deserve, please contact the shelter at 084 752 5255 (English), 086 913 8701 (Thai) or email [email protected] Candy and Cookie will be waiting!

I’m Little Cow! My markings and are like that of a fresian cow and my coat is velvety to the touch! I look all grown up but I’m only a year old and would love a home of my own so so much. I love children and other dogs of any age – though I need a good fence or a home far from chickens as I am a bit of a hunter! Roshan’s dogs, Maggie and Millie, in urgent need of a home!

Maggie is a lovely dog with a sweet personality

Roshan Dhunjibhoy, co-founder of Lanna Dog Rescue, passed away unexpectedly at the end of April this year. Most of her beloved dogs have found a home in the meantime but Maggie and Millie are still in urgent need of a home to call their own.
Maggie has gorgeous eyes and a very sweet personality to go with it. She was saved by Roshan and cared for with all the love and affection she could muster, Maggie is now a beautiful middle sized dog with long silky black fur.

Millie is a white female dog of medium height, middle aged, with lovely marine green eyes. Roshan brought her all the way from Pakistan. She had found her outside her house, her leg run over by a car in rush hour. Roshan nursed her to full health and adopted her as her own. Having found her on New Years Eve of the year 2000 she always called Millie her Millennium Dog.

We are sure it would have been Roshan’s dearest wish that all of her dogs find loving individual homes. If you are interested in taking Maggie and/or Millie into your heart and home, could you please get in touch with Khun Wilaiwan (085-0407535 or [email protected]) or Sue Lewis (081881 32 40 or [email protected]).

Millie the Millenium Dog is a world traveler with a great personality to boot.
