Chiang Mai Governor ML Panadda Diskul met with and awarded plaques to the organizers of the International We Love the King Day and Parade that was held on Sunday, December 3, 2011 and saw the participation of hundreds of people from many different nations and ethnic groups show their admiration for HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of his 84th birthday.


Kasemkij Hotels, one of the Miss Thailand World 2012 sponsors was represented by PR Manager Kulaseth Hovongratana (3rd left), at the pageant press conference at Maleenont Towers; also attended by talk show host Nawat Isarakraisin (4th left), and four Former Miss Thailand Worlds. The Miss Thailand World 2012 Training Camp will be held between March 3 - 5, at Kantary Hills Hotel, Chiang Mai, a property in Kasemkij Hotels’ Kantary Collection. From left Som-Thammaros Jaichuen Miss Thailand World 2007, Noosi-Sirirat Ruangsri Miss Thailand World 2010, Kulaseth Hovongratana, Nawat Isarakraisin, Julie-Patcharida Rodkongka Miss Thailand World 2011 and View-Pongchanok Kanklab Miss Thailand World 2009.


Chiang Mai Creative City Committee held an informal meeting at Su Casa Restaurant on Nimamnhaemin soi 11 on Thursday, February 16, 2012. Attending the meeting were Committee member Martin Venzky-Stalling, Chiang Mai Goodwill Ambassador Annette Kunagigon, Peter Seidler who has worked in many creative IT projects, chef Andy Ricker of Pok Pok, and travel writer and TAT Friend of Thailand award winner Kristie Kellahan along with other local business people, academicians and people interested in developing the creative economy of Chiang Mai.


Mo Tejani and Ricky Ward at Sangdee Gallery recently, Mo’s new book in collaboration with Lisa Keary, Global Crossroads, is now out on Amazon.com as an e-book. Mo plans a launch party when the book comes into print.

Dr. Chao Duenduang na Chiang Mai, President of the Chiang Mai Culture Council, opened the Home & Wedding Fair at Central Airport Plaza on February 9, 2012. She was joined by local businesspeople and models as well as event organizers. The Wedding Fair runs until February 15, 2012.

The Payap Lifescapes Film Festival’s final film screening was Hi-So by Director Aditya Assarat and stars Ananda Everingham and Sajee Apiwong who joined Lifescapes organizer Jessica Loh at Sangdee Gallery on Sirimangkalajarn Soi 5 for the closing night party on February 5, 2012.


Sim Sarawut is joined by friends at his birthday party held at Soho Bar and Guesthouse on Huay Kaew Road on Friday, February 3, 2012.


Jon Nordeen won the grand prize at the recent concert by ML Usni Pramoj organized by the Four Seasons Resort and Payap University at Payap recently. Thanpuying Varaporn Pramoj presents him with the prize of a night’s stay for two at the pool side villa at Four Seasons in Mae Rim.


The grand opening of the Wine Shoppe in Chang Phuak near the Mercure Hotel was held on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Here the owner, Yotsaphon “Glid” Saokaew is joined by friends and guests at the opening.
