Chiang Mai Cricket Sixes winds down

Chiang Mai Cricket Sixes final is today, with both adults and children’s finals taking place during the day. There were no women’s matches this year as not enough teams participated. Finals for the Cup will be held at 3:40 p.m. The Under 16’s will see their final at 4:25 p.m. and trophies will be presented at 5:30 p.m. The Chiang Mai Cricket Sixes is held annually in April and features teams from around the world. Even those who don’t know much about cricket have a great time. Definitely worth the visit.


PTT Thailand Senior Open 2012 in Chiang Mai

The golf competition "PTT Thailand Senior Open 2012" at Golf Summit Green Valley Chiang Mai Country Club, during March 22-24 ,2012 results Boonchu Ruengkij , No.1 Thai senior professional golf the winner with a -14 under par round four strokes off the competition to win the trophy and 560,800 baht ,the Philippines ranked second pro Frankie Minoza - 10 of the United States ranked third pro Rick Gibson - 9 and the former champion Chen Tze. Chung has just the ranked 7, -2 under par.


HEAD: 6th Annual City Games

The Chiang Mai Municipality hosted the 6th annual City Games at the Municipal Stadium on March 31, 2012. Organizations and schools from around the city participated in the Games which saw not only soccer and other sports but also fun games including sack races, box kicking races and others. Chiang Mai University students and other universities joined in the matches along with city officials.



US Consulate wins in friendly over Municipality

The U.S. Consulate General staff played a friendly match against the Chiang Mai Municipality on March 28, 2012.

The U.S. Consulate General in Chiang Mai played a soccer friendly with the Chiang Mai Municipality on March 28, 2012 at the Municipal stadium. The U.S. Consulate General beat the Municipality 12-16 in the match that saw both U.S. Consul General Kenneth L. Foster and Chiang Mai Mayor Tussanai Buranupakorn participate.

The matches are a series of games that have been played among organizations in Chiang Mai including the police, consulates, city officials, and the press association.

The U.S. Consulate General won the friendly 12-6 over the Chiang Mai Municipality.
