Japanese government helps respiratory patients in Uttaradit

Mr. Shinya Aoki, Consul-General of Japan in Chiang Mai, and Mr. Songwut Subthawisin, Director of the Uttaradit Hospital signed the funding agreement for respiratory equipment for Uttaradit Hospital to provide home medical care.

The Government of Japan, under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme (GGP), is providing funds amounting to 2,738,000 baht for “the Project for Procuring Medical Equipment for Patients with Chronic Respiratory Disease in Uttaradit Province”. On 16 July, 2015, Mr. Shinya Aoki, Consul-General of Japan in Chiang Mai, and Mr. Songwut Subthawisin, Director of the Uttaradit Hospital, jointly signed the funding contract at the Consulate-General of Japan in Chiang Mai.

New Immigration office opens at Promenada Resort Mall

Chiang Mai Immigration has moved services from the old office near the airport to the ground floor of Promenada Resort Shopping Mall effective July 20, 2015. The grand opening of the new office was held on July 17, 2015 and was presided over by Commander of Immigration Region 5 Pol. Maj. Gen. Banthit Tungkhaseni, Chief of Chiang Mai Immigration, Pol. Col. Rutjapong Saravanangkool, and Marc Vermeulen of Promenada Resort Shopping Mall.
